Recue Blythe Project Giveaway- Star

Rescue Blythe Project

The Blythe Doll Community has always been so good to me, I felt like I needed to give back some how.

I have always had a soft spot for misfit and unloved dolls. I love putting bits and pieces together to create special and unique dolls. So I decided to start the Blythe Rescue Project. So many kind and loving people donated parts and pieces from eyechips to scalps to help me out.

So then I found this poor girl. She was in dire need of some love, so, I gave her some.

Here she is now.

Meet Star- Rescue Blythe Project #1

I have named her Star.

I see Stars

We had some bumps along the way...like glue where her mouth had been carved to fill in the carving, a broken eye mech, and her eye chips being superglued in.

WIP Rescue Blythe Project #1

But we carried on and I tried to take the imperfections she had and turn them into strengths.

Starry Eyes

Her lips that were carved into odd smile I smoothed out to make it into a little smirky smile with teeth.

Her Teeth

Her eyechips finally came out after much soaking in water. I replaced them with pretty donated eye chips.

All Better

I decided because her eye mechanism was broken I would just manually roll her eyes instead of use a pull string.

Starry Eyes

Her previous owner had pierced her ears and had put a ring on her hand. I think they work for her now. I also gave her a Asymetrical bob with purple highlights from a donated Simply Chocolate scalp.

Rescue Blythe Project #1- She is done.

She is almost good as new and now I am giving her away as a thank you to the blythe doll community for being so awesome. If you think you could give Star the love she deserves even with her little imperfections please leave a comment below.

ONE comment per person. You are disqualified if you comment more than once.

I am giving Star away- FOR FREE- however- the winner must be willing to pay shipping if they do not live in USA.

On August 15th I will randomly select a winner and will announce it on my blog.

Good Luck!

  19. She is precious. I adore her haircut, stars painted on her, her eye chips - basically all of her.

If a star were in human form she would be the perfect fit: after her makeover all of the gloomyness is gone and now she glows like a real star. :)

    1. The second part of my comment is kind of off. Lol. What I should have wrote is:

"If a star fell to earth and took form, she would be that star. Because before her makeover she was so gloomy and sad looking, and now there really is a glow about her that mimics a real star. It's almost like I can look in her eyes and see the wonders of the universe."

I am completely serious. There really is something about her; her eyes are amazing. :]

  57. I love people who want to give something back. I am disabled and some people consider me to be imperfect so i can relate. There is always someone who will see the beauty of a person or object regardless of what the majority see. I love that you saw the potential of this lady and gave her a makeover. I also love that she still retains her uniqueness, character and imperfection to the majority with the addition of her makeover. No one and no thing is perfect and never will be and who are we to say what is perfect or imperfect, there is beauty in everyone and everything. Thanks for the opportunity, Christy to own this lovely lady.
